The Problem
The foster care system only has availability for 20% of the children who need a home. There are not enough safe, loving and stable families to serve the number of children in our community. Also, when a foster family is found for a child the family is often not equipped and is under-supported for the hard work of foster care ministry. The services our children and youth deserve and desperately need are just not easily available to them.
Our Mission
Our mission is to change the physical, emotional, and spiritual futures of homeless and foster children. We are a community-based, church-led partnership designed to solve the Central Florida foster care problem. The problem is one of capacity, stability, and quality. Fostering Our Future is a local movement that is equipping churches for effective ministry to vulnerable children and families in Central Florida’s foster care system.
